Anna Zvereva is Of Counsel in the tax department of Salans' Moscow office. Her particular areas of tax specialisation include tax accounting; tax due diligence reviews; tax audits; tax compliance projects; accounting and payroll outsourcing; accounting in accordance with Russian accounting standards and IAS; tax optimising schemes of businesses; audits in accordance with RAS (production, drugstores, retail and wholesale trade, services, mass media, hotels, logistic companies); and consulting in the fields of taxation and accounting (VAT, profit tax, payroll taxes, withholding VAT and income tax, import and export operations, trading within the CIS, application of DTT's provisions).

Anna is also experienced in representing clients in court proceedings involving the Russian tax inspectorate.

Recent Experience:

  • Assisting a Russian subsidiary of an international IT group in its numerous dealings with Russian tax authorities during the cameral and field tax audit in connection with the VAT recovery claimed by the Russian company
  • Advising a Russian company in connection with the VAT regime on the transportation of exported goods
  • Assisting a foreign investor with a tax due diligence in connection with the acquisition of a Russian factory
  • Advising a Russian company with regard to the tax consequences of a sublicense agreement with non-residents
  • Advising a major international retailer in connection with the system of granting discounts to its distributors
