François Vignaud is Senior Of Counsel in Salans' Paris office. He heads the firm's Global Life Sciences Group.  François focuses on commercial law, corporate law and healthcare law. He advises his clients on mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures in France and abroad, mainly in the healthcare sector, but also in the industrial and services sectors. He also plays a major advisory role in regulatory matters in all the healthcare sectors (pharmacy, cosmetics, medical devices, biotechnology).

He has very broad experience in French and international commercial transactions, for example license and research agreements.

  • Advising a US pharmaceutical group specialised in feminine health and skin care on all French aspects of the acquisition of a worldwide ethical pharmaceuticals division
  • Advising a global leader in paper and container manufacturer and distributor in various corporate reorganisations in France or with French implications
  • Advising a leading pharmaceutical group on the French legal aspects of a joint venture with another leading pharmaceutical group
  • Assisting a division of the world leader in healthcare in analysing all French regulatory consequences, in particular French legislation restricting financial relationships with healthcare professionals, of a corporate reorganisation and simplification of structures project
  • Advising the leader in worldwide orthopaedic medical technology on the disposal of its manufacturing business and its facility and also on regulatory aspects related to medical devices
  • Advising a leading worldwide service provider to the oil industry in various M&A and joint ventures related to transactions in France or with French implications
  • Advising a leading pharmaceutical group on the French legal aspects with respect to the integration of another pharmaceutical group
  • Advising a US pharmaceutical company on compliance matters in the context of legislation governing the relationships between the industry and the healthcare professionals
