Carsten Brachmann is a partner in Salans’ Berlin office. He is a Certified Specialist Attorney for Employment Law and advises private and public employers on questions of individual and collective employment law, in particular in the areas of collective bargaining, works council constitution law, employee representation law and employee leasing. The focus of his work is employment law related to M & A and civil service employment law.

Recent Experience:

  • Advising employers on restructuring measures in the metal and electrical industry, the energy sector, the real estate sector, the software sector, the wholesale and foreign trade sector and the private and public healthcare sector
  • Employment, collective bargaining and employee representation law advice to public employers in the case of internal reorganisation measures
  • Advising on privatisations in all questions relevant to personnel, in particular in respect of questions relating to transferring personnel, provision of personnel, personnel representation law, the collective bargaining situation and public additional benefits
  • Advising undertakings from various sectors in connection with the optimisation of personnel costs without redundancies, for example via collective bargaining agreement alteration plans, the conclusion of a company agreement for the purposes of redeployment, performance-related pay and working hours schemes
  • Ongoing advice to private and public undertakings on all questions of collective and individual employment law, for example drawing up employment contracts and company agreements/works agreements
