Salans LLP and Heisse Kursawe Eversheds have advised the real estate investment manager Invesco Real Estate GmbH (IRE) on its purchase of a real estate portfolio with a value of approximately EUR 218 million. Together with the French issuer CILOGER, IRE acquired ten newly built retail shopping centres with an overall rental area of 100,000 square metres. The deal constitutes one of the biggest transactions in the German segment of retail real estate in 2010.

Salans’ German offices in Berlin and Frankfurt am Main have a new management structure. Holger Scheer was appointed Office Managing Partner of the Frankfurt office, with immediate effect. Andreas Ziegenhagen, the previous Managing partner of both offices, will remain Office Managing Partner of the Berlin office. In addition, Andreas assumes the newly established function of German General Managing Partner. In this role he will carry the co-ordinating and strategic responsibility for the future development of the German offices. Furthermore, he will continue to practise in Frankfurt in the area of Restructuring.

International law firm Salans LLP advises Chinese property developer Madison Property AG on its listing and intended upgrade to the Entry Standard segment of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
Madison Property AG has been listed on the Open Market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since August 2010 and intends to upgrade to the Entry Standard on 6 December 2010. The company is aiming to raise up to around 18 million Euros through the issue.

As Société Générale's subsidiary specialised in the management of information systems, ECS is located in 17 countries, with over 1,500 employees and its consolidated turnover for 2009 totalled EUR 840 million.
