Salans partners have continually advised global businesses and financial institutions on the legal aspects of investment, trade and finance in Russia for nearly three decades. We opened the Salans St. Petersburg office in 1993. It has since grown to be one of the largest full service law offices in St. Petersburg. The office currently comprises 27 fee-earners, totalling with support staff to 48 professionals. 

In addition to the 5 resident partners in St. Petersburg and 16 partners in Moscow, partners in our Paris, London, Berlin, Frankfurt, and New York offices provide support to the Russian practice on a daily basis. 

Our Approach  

Russian and expatriate lawyers and professional support staff are all fluent in Russian and English, and many are also fluent in French, German, and other languages. Our St. Petersburg office works closely with the lawyers in our Russian Practice Group located in Moscow, Paris, London, New York, Berlin, and Frankfurt, as well as with Salans’ other CIS practice offices in Almaty, Kyiv, and Baku. Salans lawyers combine profound knowledge of Russian law with the firm's experience elsewhere in the CIS in similar legal specialisations and industry sectors.  

We cooperate with Advokatskoe Bureau Yug in Krasnodar and Eberg, Stepanov & Partners in Rostov-on-Don to assist companies who operate or are seeking to invest in the South of Russia. Salans also cooperates with the MKD Law Firm in Tbilisi and Stepanovski, Papakul & Partners in Minsk.
