Mateusz Toczyski is a partner in Salans' Warsaw office. He specialises in banking law, project finance and financial restructuring. He acts for financial institutions as well as borrowers. Mateusz has also acted as an expert on legislative works on regulatory change in Poland, including the new bankruptcy law and the new act on registered pledges.
Mateusz is working on his Ph.D. thesis on the legal aspects of integration of the financial markets in the EU and is the author and co-author of several articles and books in this area.
Mateusz Toczyski is recommended in the legal directories Chambers Global 2012 and Chambers Europe 2012 in banking and finance law and singled out as a ‘Regional Expert’ in the same field, particularly recognised for his advice in the CEE region. He is also recommended as a “leading lawyer” in the category of banking in The IFLR1000 2012 edition – The Guide to the World's Leading Financial Law Firms.
