Xiaoyi Tang is a consultant in Salans’ Brussels office. He specialises in international trade law and EU regulatory law.  He represents clients in trade remedy cases including anti-dumping, anti-subsidy and safeguard proceedings before the EU institutions and in other jurisdictions. He advises clients on international and bilateral agreements, application of the WTO rules and market access questions. He also frequently advises clients in the area of product safety, food safety, food contact materials and on EU environmental issues concerning chemicals (REACH) and waste management (RoHS and WEEE).

Recent Experience:

  • Advising a Chinese steel association and two Chinese steel manufacturers to respond to an EU anti-dumping investigation against hot-dipped galvanized sheets from China
  • Advising a Chinese producer in the EU anti-dumping, anti-subsidy and safeguard investigations against imports wireless wide area networking (WWAN) modems from China
  • Advising a major European importer to apply for refunds of anti-dumping duties paid on imports of castings from China
  • Advising a group of Chinese steel manufacturers to respond to the Indian anti-dumping and safeguard proceedings on hot rolled steel products from China
  • Advising several major Chinese steel manufactures before the Indian high court regarding an Indian anti-dumping investigation on seamless tubes and pipes from China
  • Advising a leading Chinese steel mill to respond to an Indonesian anti-dumping proceeding on hot rolled plates from China
  • Advising a group of Chinese steel mills to respond to an Indonesian anti-dumping investigation against cold rolled coils from China
  • Advising a leading multinational manufacture in the area of classification and labelling (C&L), pollution management of electrical and electronic products (RoHS and WEEE) in China
