Carl F. Salans is a retired partner in Salans' Paris office. He is one of the founding partners
of the firm and he concentrates on arbitration. In January 2000, he was appointed a member of, and
in January 2003, he was appointed Vice-Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC)
International Court of Arbitration.
He is a Substitute Arbitrator at the United States - Iran Claims Tribunal at the Hague, and is a
member of the Panel of Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association. In addition, he has
been counsel or co-counsel to parties as well as chairman or co-arbitrator of arbitral tribunals in
a wide variety of international commercial arbitrations, both institutional and ad hoc, numbering
well over 100.
