Lionel Rosenblatt is Of Counsel in Salans' London office. He is Head of the Arbitration, Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. He also heads Salans' Global Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group, which incorporates lawyers from amongst our 22 offices worldwide.
In 1982, he was a co-founding Partner of Harris Rosenblatt & Kramer (HRK), which merged with Salans in January 1998.
Lionel has more than 30 years' experience dealing with General Commercial Litigation disputes; complex litigation often involving cross-border issues, breach of trust and white-collar fraud claims. He was involved in significant claims arising out of the alleged price-fixing in the copper market, including class actions in the US. He has been instrumental in building and developing two departments specifically dealing with Banking Litigation and Professional Negligence. His work includes substantial property disputes and, most recently, litigation arising from the departure of a substantial number of agents from The Peters Fraser & Dunlop Group to join United Agents. Since the merger with Salans, he regularly works in the field of International Arbitration, particularly (though not exclusively) in the Energy sector.
Lionel is well practiced in the area of Alternative Dispute Resolution/Mediation. He adopts a highly commercial approach to resolving problems and is a lateral thinker, with excellent tactical and negotiating skills.
Chambers UK 2011 recognises Lionel as a key individual in his field for Dispute Resolution. Sources consider him to be "a deal maker - commercial, on the ball and hugely experienced."
