Jonathan  Polin

Jonathan Polin is a partner in Salans' London office. He is a member of the Corporate, Global Real Estate, and Betting & Gaming Practice Groups.

Jonathan is an expert on international mergers and acquisitions, particularly those involving the US and Russia. He has advised in relation to acquisitions and disposals both of private and public companies, listings on AIM and the Stock Exchange and hostile and recommended public takeovers.

He also specialises in the corporate aspects of restructuring / distressed situations deals, real estate deals, whether undertaken in Central and Eastern Europe or in the UK, and betting and gaming transactions, particularly in connection with acquisitions, joint ventures and commercial arrangements.

Recent Experience:

• Acting for Valco Capital Partners (Hilco) in connection with its acquisition of Borders UK (the bookshop group)
• Acting for RCapital Limited in connection with its acquisition of Morses Club, a leading provider of home collected credit
• Acting for Paul Gregg and Apollo Resorts and Leisure Limited in connection with a number of joint ventures and related transactions
• Acting for Casinos Austria in connection with its acquisition programme in the UK
• Acting for Raven Russia Limited in connection with its acquisition of a warehouse complex in St. Petersburg
• Acted for Morgan Stanley Real Estate's Special Situations Fund, Deutsche Bank and Orco Property Group in connection with various real estate transactions in Russia
