Lourdes Pérez-Luque is a partner in the Madrid office and head of the Spanish tax practice. Prior to joining Salans, she managed her own firm of tax and corporate consultancy in Madrid. She concentrates on tax and corporate law.

She has more than 20 years of experience advising a wide variety of clients from sectors such as retail, distribution, energy, media and real estate, amongst others. She also has a large experience in M&A transactions, tax planning and tax litigation matters.

Lourdes was a former President of the CFE (Confédération Fiscale Européenne) and also was a former general secretary and vice-president of AEDAF (Asociación Española de Asesores Fiscales), the Spanish association of tax advisors. She has been a member of the International Fiscal Association and the Asociación Española de Derecho Financiero since 1994 and is registered in the CFE's European Register of Tax Advisors.

Recent Experience:

  • Advising companies on tax structures and implications in M&A transactions and disposals, both national and international. 
  • Advising various real estate companies on VAT related matters.
  • Advising large multinationals in relation to ongoing businesses carried out in Spain.
  • Advising energy companies on specific tax implications.
  • Advising individuals and clients on tax proceedings before the Spanish Tax Authorities and Spanish Courts.
