Paul Morel is a Senior Partner in Salans' Paris office. He has over 20 years' experience with M&A and private equity. Paul is particularly active in private equity and represents all segments and actors in this field while creating funds and investment vehicles and structuring transactions driven by private equity.
In particular, Paul advises private equity funds, institutional investors and management teams on management buy-outs, leverage buy-outs, venture capital investments, corporate restructurings, work-outs and public-to-private transactions. He also advises management companies on their incentive agreements and he regularly counsels venture capital fund managers on the creation, structuring and negotiation of funds (including FCPRs and SCRs in France).
Paul represents a number of large international companies in Europe for whom he acts as special counsel for particularly sensitive, strategic or complex transactions or structurings.
Paul is Salans' representative to the European Venture Capital Association and he is a member of the LBO Committee and the Comité Juridique of AFIC (the "French Private Equity Association"). He has published numerous articles and participated in various French and international conferences on private equity matters. He is also a former lecturer at the University of Paris XI (1980-1985) and is co-author, with Jean-Pierre Legall, of French Company Law (Longman, 1992).
