Lora A. Moffatt is a partner and co-chair of the Intellectual Property Practice Group in Salans' New York office. Lora advises a wide-range of clients, from individual inventors, designers and artists to multinational corporations, on patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret matters. She regularly handles intellectual property litigation specialising in trademark and related unfair competition actions. Her cases involve a variety of industries, from jewellery, fashion, music, multi-media, and publishing to pharmaceutical, computer hardware and software, food technology and financial services.

Lora's clients include David Yurman, Oscar Mayer Foods, CNN, Harley Davidson and Pierre Fabre.

Recent Experience:

  • Representing Oscar Mayer Foods in a patent infringement litigation in which her client was awarded USD 11.3 million in damages
  • Representing Harley Davidson in the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board regarding the registration of its configuration applications for motorcycles
  • Licensing rights of the trademark "ROYAL VELVET"
