Anna McDonald is a partner in Salans' Moscow office and co-head of the Russian Real Estate Practice. She has been with the firm since it opened its Moscow office in 1992.
Using her solid corporate and M&A legal background, Anna concentrates on financial structuring, principally advising investment banks and other investors on both debt and equity investment in Russia. She advises clients in connection with acquisition financing, asset based loans, merger and acquisition projects, syndicated loans, securities issuance, project financing and other types of complex and traditional transactions.
As co-head of the Russian Real Estate Practice, Anna McDonald advises on all aspects of legal issues arising from real estate transactions in Russia. These include sale and purchase, secured loans, leasing, due diligence, construction loans, JVs, forward takeouts, development of brownfield and greenfield sites, and multi structured SPVs, including preferred equity and bifurcated structures (or A-B structure subordinated note or participation interest).
In addition, Anna McDonald has advised several multinationals in connection with complex restructuring and consolidations.
