Catherine Joffroy is a partner in Salans' Paris office and bilingual in French and Russian. Since 1990, she has specialised in advising French companies investing in the CIS, notably in Russia and Ukraine, but also more widely in Central and Eastern Europe. She also advises these companies, as well as large Russian companies, with respect to French commercial and civil law. She has in-depth knowledge in investments, creation of joint ventures, project finance and international contracts.
Since 2000, Catherine has actively participated in talks on Russia and Ukraine at the Ubifrance (former CECF), CCIP and the MEDEF International conferences, AFJE (french law association dedicated to in-house), both in Paris and Moscow. She is also the author of various articles on Russia and Ukraine published in the Cahiers juridiques et fiscaux, the MOCI, les Echos etc.
Catherine Joffroy, who is recognised by Chambers Global 2012 as a "foreign expert" in Corporate / M & A, has recently been reappointed as French Foreign Trade Advisor (Conseiller du commerce extérieur de la France - CCE) by the decree of 30 November 2011, signed by the Prime Minister of France. Advisors are appointed for three years based on their expertise to assist companies and people in their international projects. In this context, Catherine provides recommendations to the French government, supports companies in their international expansion, and educates students about international trade careers.
