Jeffrey Hertzfeld, one of the founding partners of the firm, is a retired senior partner of the Paris office who currently acts as an independent international arbitrator.

With over 35 years of international law practice in Paris and New York, Jeffrey Hertzfeld has had broad experience in international trade, investment, natural resources and construction disputes with particular focus in Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Central and Eastern Europe.

He has served as an international arbitrator in numerous cases, under institutional rules such as those of the ICC, Stockholm Arbitration Institute, LCIA, AAA, and ad hoc rules such as UNCITRAL, and has sat in many arbitration venues including Stockholm, Paris, London and New York. He has also acted as counsel in many arbitrations and worked as a consultant on matters relating to international arbitration law and practice.

Jeffrey Hertzfeld has been a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars on international arbitration matters organized by the ICC, LCIA, the Stockholm Arbitration Institute and the Swedish Arbitration Association notably in Paris, Moscow, Stockholm and elsewhere.

He is the author of numerous publications on East-West trade and investment. He has contributed articles on international arbitration to the ICSID (World Bank) Journal, the Stockholm Arbitration Institute Yearbook, the ICC Journal and the Stockholm Arbitration Report.
