Alison Gaines is a consultant in the London office and was previously a partner of the firm for 14 years. She specialises in banking, asset and consumer finance, restructuring and non-contentious insolvency.
Formerly an in-house solicitor with a major finance company, Alison has extensive experience advising clients in the finance industry on all aspects of their core business. Alison also has substantial experience in business restructuring and workouts and advises banks and financial institutions on insolvency issues affecting them.
Alison is named as a leading lawyer in consumer and asset finance in Chambers' A Client's Guide to the UK Legal Profession, and is a regular speaker and writer of articles on consumer credit law and related matters. In Chambers UK, 2008 edition, Alison "is esteemed for her consumer finance and insolvency work." The 2010 edition says that she "is a well-known figure [and that] her experience working in-house at a major finance company is much valued by her clients."
