Oleg Batyuk is the managing partner* of Salans' Kyiv office. He is a member of the Board of the Central and East European Practice Group of the firm. In 1992 he founded the firm's office in Kyiv together with colleagues from Paris and London.
Mr. Batyuk has experience in negotiating and advising on complex international transactions, establishment of joint ventures, privatisation and related issues in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova. Many of his clients are major international companies and financial institutions as well as clients in Aerospace, Shipping & Transportation. He has been engaged as an expert witness on Ukrainian legal matters in several high-profile litigation and arbitration proceedings in England, USA, Canada and Sweden.
He is the author and co-author of over 30 articles and books on Ukrainian law and practice, published in the US, the UK, the Netherlands, Ukraine and in other countries. He is a regular speaker on legal issues at Ukrainian and international conferences. He contributes regularly on legal and tax issues affecting foreign investment in Ukraine.
He is cited by Chambers Global as a leading legal professional in international capital markets, M&A and arbitrations, and he is also highly recommended by PLC Which Lawyer? (formerly Global Counsel 3000) in company and corporate transactions.
