Judith Aron is an associate in Salans' Berlin and Moscow offices and practices in the Corporate / M&A department. Judith joined Salans' Moscow office in 2003. She specialises in cross-border mergers and acquisitions and corporate law. She has assisted several large Russian companies structure their offshore acquisitions and advises private equity funds active in Russia. She also advises clients in connection with joint ventures in Russia.

Judith has co-authored several articles for French legal and business publications on different aspects of Russian law as well as the upcoming 2010/2011 PLC Competition Handbook Q&A Russia. Judith is editor-at-large of Salans Revue du French Desk.

Recent Experience:

  • Advising an Israeli real estate investment fund on its 50% acquisition in a high-end residential real estate project in Moscow
  • Advising on the first acquisition into the Russian real estate market for the real estate arm of one of world's largest global investment banks
  • Advising a first-tier US private equity fund active the Russian market on its acquisition and merger of fast food chains in Moscow
  • Advising on the negotiation of a joint venture agreement for oil and gas exploration in Northern Africa
  • Advising on structuring the offshore acquisition (and subsequent disposal) of interest in an oil company in Russia
  • Handling a number of various corporate issues for offshore subsidiaries for a large Russian bank
