Salans Advises CHS Inc. on Investment in a Grain Terminal in Odessa, Ukraine

Salans acted as legal advisor in Ukraine to CHS Inc. regarding its acquisition of an ownership interest in a grain terminal in the port of Odessa, Ukraine.  Under the investment agreement, the export terminal will be operated jointly by CHS Inc. and its Ukrainian partner, GN Terminals, Odessa, Ukraine.  Under the agreement, CHS will manage part of the terminal’s capacity, allowing it to manage its own rail cars, trucks and ships through the Odessa terminal, and all grain will be marked as CHS.

Salans legal advice on this transaction included complete transactional guidance covering deal structuring, financing, governmental permits and tax.
