Salans' Banking & Finance team in Paris represented Société Générale and Crédit Lyonnais in a EUR 24.5 million financing for the purchase of TCS by a holding company controlled by Cobalt Capital, a French investment fund.
TCS, located in Bordeaux, is specialised in express package and document shipping for, among others, the banking, insurance and pharmaceutical industries. TCS, with 19 branches in France, had a turnover of about 56 million euros in 2008 from approximately 15 million shipments.
The syndication of the financing was successfully completed on the date of closing.
The Salans Banking & Finance team comprised partner Philippe Max, associate Maria Nénova and trainee Aurélia Viemont, with partner Pascal Chadenet and associates Emmanuel El Medioni and Cécile Szymanski providing advice on the corporate aspects of the LBO.
