A €1.87 billion ($2.43 billion) arbitral award obtained in 2009 by Salans' International Arbitration Practice Group was ranked by The American Lawyer Magazine as the largest contract arbitration award obtained by a law firm in recent years (2009 Arbitration Scorecard). This award, rendered under the auspices of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), was obtained for client Vivendi S.A. in its publicized dispute concerning its investment in the Polish telecommunications companies Elektrim Telekomunikacja Sp. z.o.o. (Telco) and Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa Sp. Z o.o. (PTC). The 2009 Arbitration Scorecard includes nearly 250 cases, being either commercial disputes with stakes of at least $500 million or treaty disputes with stakes of at least $100 million.
Jean-Christophe Honlet and Brenda Horrigan, Co-Heads of the Salans International Arbitration Practice Group, commented: "Salans' International Arbitration Practice Group is focused on results. We are proud that The American Lawyer Magazine singled out in its 2009 Arbitration Scorecard the €1.87 billion award obtained for our client Vivendi S.A."
