Best Lawyers is regarded as the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in
the legal profession in the US. The company has been publishing lists with the names of leading
business lawyers for 25 years. In Germany, Best Lawyer now for the first time in cooperation with
leading business paper Handelsblatt created a list of top lawyers from 41 practice areas who were
recommended by other lawyers. The expert lists are the result of a voting process: Lawyers were
asked to nominate any outstanding lawyers whom they would recommend if they cannot accept client
work either due to a lack of time or a conflict of interest.
