Warsaw

Salans has been active advising companies, financial institutions, and governmental entities in the legal aspects of investment, trade, and finance in Poland since early 1991. Currently the Warsaw office comprises over 100 lawyers experienced in Polish legal matters and able to advise, draft, and negotiate in Polish, English, German, and French.

Our Approach

In addition to our established office in Warsaw, Salans has an associated office, the law firm Krupa Srokosz Patryas (KSP) in Katowice, the industrial heartland of Silesia (Southern Poland). KSP's team of 16 lawyers offers comprehensive legal and tax assistance to corporate clients and individuals and is experienced in representing foreign investors as well as local clients.

Keeping with the spirit of our global practice throughout our network of 22 offices, Salans Warsaw combines local practice and detailed knowledge of Polish law with our firm's experience internationally. Our lawyers in Warsaw work closely with colleagues elsewhere on a client-by-client basis to deliver a high-quality, tailored legal service that takes advantage of our collective expertise, in particular that of our lawyers specialising in Central and Eastern European issues.

Awards

PLC Which lawyer? Ranked Salans’ Warsaw office the top firm in Poland for 4 years in a row. The Yearbook provides law firm and individual lawyer recommendations by core commercial practice areas in over 70 jurisdictions. The recommendations are based on responses to surveys of in-house counsel in the companies listed in the PLC Law Department Profiles and on interviews with private practitioners.

Salans Warsaw was awarded the Client Choice Award 2006 and 2007 in Poland by the International Law Office (the online media partner to the International Bar Association). The award-winning law firms in 46 jurisdictions were selected based on survey responses from more than 1,300 senior corporate counsels worldwide. The criteria for the award focus on the law firm’s ability to add real value to their clients’ business beyond the other players in the market. The fact the award comes straight from the results of surveys of in-house counsel makes it even more special for us, as it is a direct, undiluted reflection of client satisfaction.

Salans’ Warsaw office was honoured with the 2006 European Medal for Legal Services. The European Medal is a non-commercial, nationwide project to promote the European Union idea in the business community. It is a recommendation issued for distinguished services by the European Integration Committee and the Business Centre Club.

Tomasz Dąbrowski is the managing partner of Salans’ Warsaw Office.
