Lawyers / Legal Staff

Trainees / Interns

Salans can offer trainees a dynamic, entrepreneurial and truly international environment in which to train, with plenty of opportunities of gaining high quality experience in cross border work and the potential to go on secondment to one of our international offices.

We accept applications from graduates in any discipline. The firm looks for applicants who are able to approach complex problems in a practical and commercial way. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to assume responsibility at an early stage and possess common sense and good judgement.

Our Training Programme

Trainees will spend six months in four different practice groups with the possibility of secondments to a major client or to one of our global offices.  Partners supervise trainees at all times and encourage them to take an active part in the work of their department. One of the key advantages of a training contract with Salans is the opportunity to be involved in international transactions or through the secondment programme go on assignment to offices across our network.

The firm has a dedicated in-house development programme for both trainees and assistant solicitors. In addition, trainees are offered the opportunity to attend external courses wherever possible.

The firm is an active member of LawWorks providing pro bono advice.

Applications for training contracts beginning in September 2013 will be accepted between 1 May 2011 - 8 July 2011. The closing date for applications is 8 July 2011.

We require applicants to submit a short covering letter and CV which should detail a full account of schools, examination results, university degrees, professional and leisure interests and any other relevant information.
